About me

I’m Joely, a mum to two teeny wonders of my own. I became a mum in 2017 and the last six years of parenthood have both amazed and bewildered me in so many ways. My family is both my driving force and what grounds me. They are the reason that in 2023 I decided to start my very own business that puts love, presence and connection at its heart.

For the last 12 years I have worked as a primary school teacher, yet I’ve recently left the education sector to become qualified in baby massage, baby yoga and many other postnatal services. I gained my diploma through Blossom and Berry, a training provider fully accredited by the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) and the International, Complementary Therapists Association (IICT).

When I started my parenting journey, I didn’t have the confidence to listen to my own parenting instincts. It was through my own experiences in baby classes that I learnt the value of presence, nurturing touch and connection. I believe that when we hold babies in a safe space, and truly connect with them, without distractions, we strengthen our bond and our trust, while improving our overall wellbeing. It is so vital to lay these foundations while our children are small. What’s more, classes allow parents to share their experiences and find new friendships. They say it takes a village to raise a child; parenting shouldn’t be solitary, let’s not go it alone.

I also get a lot of joy out of play, dance and stories. I have worked in the Early Years Foundation Stage during my time as a teacher and I love to explore toys and resources alongside children, helping them to learn and watching their wonderful minds grow. As well as my baby classes, I also run a ‘Stay and Play’ in Bishop Sutton Village Hall (formally Chew Valley Toddlers), which you can drop in to on a Thursday morning from 9.30am.

My other interests include travel, camping, yoga, paddle boarding, reading romance novels and having a good giggle with friends. Please contact me if you want any further information before you book. I can’t wait for us to get started!
